Introducing the Girls of Long Lane Newfies
When I began my search for some girls to join our family, there were a few things I knew I wanted in order to potentially breed them in the future. Because I knew there were some things that were common in Newfies, that could be genetically passed to their puppies, health tested parents were a must. I also really wanted that blocky head and large, heavy-boned body structure. And then of course, temperament is a must with this breed. Newfoundlands should have a sweet gentle disposition. Soooo.....meet the girls that we love and cherish here at Long Lane Newfies.
Koda-retired but forever loved
My Koda girl. I drove to Missouri to pick up this sweet girl as a pup. I knew I had to have her when I saw her pictures. She was a chunk and GRAY! I loved her from those first pictures. She's got such a funny personality. She loves to be loved on, loves to stick her head in your personal business and has decided that she loves being brushed as much as Ace and will climb all over him to get to you if she needs to. But she also is content at times, to do her own thing. Koda has the funniest bark, which is more of a howl then a bark. She has that nice blocky- Newfie head structure, and is tall with an athletic type build. She weighs a good 130 pounds.
*Koda is now retired and lives with her family in Illinois. She will forever be a part of our family here and taught me so much in the years that she was a momma. Love you sweet girl!

This gorgeous girl came from Poland, to join me here in Wabash, Indiana. She flew into Chicago with a flight nanny and we picked her up there. She's been the picture of Newfie perfection from day 1. Her name, Kasia, is polish and means "pure." She doesn't know a stranger, and is loved everywhere I take her. She currently weighs about 130 pounds! Kasia has the blocky head and the large heavy-boned structure of the Newfoundland breed. She is also my biggest lover of water and will find any water or mud hole nearby!

~Meet Miss Nyla~
Nyla's home country is also Poland, but from a different breeder then Kasia. She is a spunky girl, full of life and soooo much energy! She never stops. She will do anything to get some attention and food is LIFE! Who can blame the girl there?! Nyla is black but according to her breeder would be recessive for brown, so we'll see if we get just blacks or possibly black and browns from her when it's her turn to be a momma! Right now she is undergoing her health testing and if all goes well, we look for her first litter possibly in late 2024!

Millie also call's Poland her home country. Like the others, she flew into Chicago with a flight nanny, where we met her with open arms! She's been a happy-go-lucky girl from the start. She's a professional kisser and laps up attention like she may run out of it. Millie has long fluffy hair and is still growing but weighs in at 100 pounds currently. We can't wait to see some Millie look-a-like's when she has pups!
